SUPPORT GROUP

There are many Heart Support Groups around the country, and most of them, like The Berwick Area Heart Support Group, are affiliated to the British Heart Foundation. Usually, like us, they are run entirely by their members. The group was set up for people living in North Northumberland and the Eastern Borders areas. The group is here to help people with heart problems. Often, heart patients feel vulnerable and alone. Joining together with others who have similar problems can help people deal with these feelings. Support groups have been shown to help. Interest and support is medically very important in it’s own right
